Rev. Brynne K. Crowe

Pastor BrynnePastor Brynne preaches with a southern accent, hailing originally from Chattanooga, TN, where she and her family attended church just about every time the door opened. She graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN and headed to Washington, D.C. to experience government and politics up close.  After 16 years working in both the executive and legislative branches of government, with a quick look at the private sector in between, she answered God's call to ministry.

She earned a Masters in Divinity degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, Texas and was ordained to Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the PC(USA). After serving a church in suburban Chicago and working for the National Domestic Violence Hotline in Austin, God called Brynne to Doe Run in late 2008.  Brynne has a heart for both local and global mission, and she particularly loves the Old Testament, which she terms a history of a people’s attempt to understand their God – a task we continue today.  She lives in our manse (Presbyterian-speak for a house owned by the church) with a cranky calico cat named Tamar.
